Procedures
1. In case that LAGs are personal belongings

1.1 LAGs must be contained in a container of size not over 100 ml. (Containers over 100 ml. are not permitted to be taken on board, even if it contains less than 100 ml. of LAGs).

1.2 All containers of LAGs according to 1.1 shall be placed together in a transparent re-sealable plastic bag and shall have overall capacity not exceeding 1,000 ml. (or equivalent in other measurement units). The bag must be sealed and each passenger can take one plastic bag on board.

1.3 Each passenger shall separate the plastic bag according to 1.2 from other personal items that will be taken on board, including jackets and computer devices, and shall let the officer check it at the security checkpoint.

2. In case that LAGs are duty free products

2.1 Passengers Departure/Departing passengers, transit passengers, or transfer passengers who have bags containing LAGs bought from duty free shops at the airport or on the plane can take them on board if those bags are sealed and there is no evidence that they are torn or opened after purchase.

2.2 There must be evidence stating the date of the purchase, which shall be the travel date. The specified items must correspond to LAGs contains in the bag.

Measures for Security Screening before Boarding

Passengers and their personal belongings shall be screened in order to search for weapons, dangerous objects or prohibited objects which passengers may take on board. The objective is to prevent weapons or other dangerous objects which may be used for illegal intervention from being taken on board, no matter they are carried without permission or hidden or brought by other methods. This is to provide safety for aviation affairs in compliance with the standard of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or other related laws.
Preparation for Security Screening before Boarding
Before checking-in at the ticket counter, passengers must be prepared for proceeding through the security checkpoint as follows:

1. Keep liquid, aerosols, and gels or other materials and substances with similar characteristics which are contained in containers of size over 100 ml. in checked baggage in order to check-in because they are not permitted to be taken on board.

2. If you want to take liquids, aerosols, and gels on board (carry-on), they must be contained in containers of size not over 100 ml. All containers shall be placed together in a transparent zip-lock plastic bag sized 20 x 20 cm. (provided at the service desk in front of the check-in counters). Each passenger can take one plastic bag on board. The overall capacity of liquids shall not exceed 1 litre and the bag must be put in the x-ray machine, separated from other personal items.

3. Keep all sharp objects in checked baggage because they are not permitted to be taken on board.

4. Passengers who have guns and bullets must inform the airline staff at the check-in counter so that the documents shall be examined and bullets shall be separated in the prepared area.

5. Passengers are not permitted to take dangerous substances or objects and/or animals which may be harmful to aircrafts and people in all types of aircrafts on board, no matter they are kept in checked baggage or carry-on baggage.

Procedures for Proceeding through the Security Checkpoint
1. Before entering the security checkpoint

After passing the check-in procedure and the passport control procedure (if available), passengers will go through the security screening procedure before boarding. In the first step, please prepare your boarding pass to be checked by the officer.

2. At the security checkpoint

2.1 When you enter the x-ray lane, there will be trays for containing bags/belongings. Please put every bag/belonging into the tray(s) in order to pass through the x-ray machine. For passengers having laptops, jackets, and zip-lock bags containing liquid, please separate those items from other belongings and put them into the tray(s). As for valuable belongings, please keep them in your bags/belongings which are closed before being put into the tray(s) to pass through the x-ray machine.

2.2 Passengers may be asked to take off their belts and shoes in order to put those items in the x-ray machine.

2.3 Passengers put the tray(s) in the x-ray machine.

2.4 Passengers walk through the metal detector under the supervision of the officers. For passengers who do not desire to walk through the metal detector with appropriate reasons such as passengers wearing pacemaker or pregnant passengers, please inform the officers in front of the security checkpoint in order to pass the special channel and be checked by hand.

2.5 Passengers who walk through the metal detector and there is no alarm can receive their bags/belongings which passed through the x-ray machine.

2.6 Passengers who walk through the metal detector and there is an alarm must walk back in order to find whether they still have metal objects on their bodies. If there are metal objects, they must take off those objects and put them into the tray(s) to pass through the x-ray machine. Then they must walk through the metal detector for the second time.

2.7 In the case that passengers walk through the metal detector for the second time and there is still an alarm, the officers will invite those passengers to be checked again to find out the reason why the metal detector alarms.

2.8 During the body screening process, passengers must follow the officers’ guidance.

2.9 After the body screening process, passengers may be asked to open their bags/belongings. Please follow the officers’ guidance.

2.10 For passengers who are found to have prohibited items in their bags/belongings, please follow the officers’ guidance and the airport’s security measures.

2.11 For passengers who are not comfortable to be screened, both their bodies and their bags/belongings, in public areas, the airport has prepared the screening room. Please inform the officers that you want to be screened individually.

3. After the screening procedure, please check every belonging before leaving the security checkpoint.

4. For passengers who deny screening, no matter body screening or bag/belonging screening, and refuse to follow the security measures, the airports reserve the right not to permit those passengers to proceed through the security checkpoint.
